Dimension: 7
Being a launch title always comes with its challenges, and in the case of the PS3 and considering its capabilities, I believe these were even more pronounced. Although it might seem like just another "generic" shooter, Resistance is a game of considerable dimensions, both in the length of its campaign and the variety and nature of its content.
The Flair: D
You have to do a bit of research to understand the generational gap in terms of technical aspects, but this game truly made a significant upgrade from the previous generation, not so much in terms of graphics but more in subtle details that might go unnoticed, such as the fact that bodies don't disappear, even on battlefields full of enemies. The loading times might not be as fast as we would like, and the soundtrack is quite bland, but credit should still be given to the technical aspect, which is, overall, excellent.
The Feel: C
The handling of weapons and the experience during combat are the standout elements in gameplay that is solid but lacks adrenaline. The physics of the enemies when shot are almost nonexistent, except for a couple of isolated animations, and it feels like they are damage sponges that collapse to the ground once they have absorbed all they can.
The Fuel: C
The setting and the hybrid approach between historical events and sci-fi is well thought out, but the story felt very forced and unoriginal by the end. It seems more like filler to justify the sheer number of "me against the world" levels, which frankly start to feel quite tiresome by the middle of the campaign. The game is saved by a very attractive selection of weapons and an interesting variety of enemies, which forces you to change your approach to combat on multiple occasions.

Conclusions
Resistance: Fall of Man is a very good first-person shooter that is solid in all areas but doesn't truly excel in any. In our opinion, it was a high-performance title designed to be a system seller for Sony and its PS3, but it lacked that distinctive charm and personality characteristic of major franchises. That being said, it's a great option for fans or those curious about the genre, offering many hours of quality content, especially thanks to its difficulty modes and unlockable content.
