Dimension: 5
Despite its simplistic appearance, Dave the Diver offers a surprising depth of content and variety. Don't be fooled by its 2D indie style; there's much more beneath the surface.
The Flair: F
Right from the start, we were captivated by the game's artistic design. The characters, fish, and scenery exude delicacy and passion, despite their cartoony simplicity. The sensational soundtrack only adds to the experience, making it top-notch overall.
The Feel: C
When evaluating gameplay across various aspects, the total score should consider all elements. Diving itself is wonderfully executed, undoubtedly the best of the game. However, other areas like restaurant service, puzzles, and some mini-games don't really get there. While these sections aren't necessarily bad, they lack the quality to sustain long-term engagement.
The Fuel: D
The initial hours of gameplay felt refreshing and exciting, with many aspects executed flawlessly. The importance of money for upgrades, the thrill of exploring uncharted depths, encountering new creatures, and engaging in special events all contribute to a great engagement. However, the quality diminishes in the endgame. The story loses its momentum after Chapter 3, the sense of danger in exploration fades, and much of the additional content lacks the magic that keeps players hooked until completion.

Conclusions
Dave the Diver is an excellent game that features a crazy medley of concepts and mechanics. It tries to do many things, perhaps a few too many, but it's precisely this willingness to innovate that makes it stand out. Perfect for a leisurely afternoon on the couch with your Switch.
