Fouttaf Score
Dimension: 2
The game's approach could easily fit an Atari 2600 title. Even its name is simple. Some minor details keep it from having the lowest score, but it's hard to imagine a simpler game in terms of size. It's extremely casual and straightforward.
The Flair: D
There are few to no flaws in the audiovisual section. The UI and the music are great, offering aesthetic and sound variations that make the game enjoyable – something quite uncommon at the time.
The Feel: B
The gameplay is clever and enjoyable most of the time, especially when you chain consecutive hits. The difficulty is well-balanced and forgiving for beginners.
The Fuel: /
Not applicable, as there's no ratable content whatsoever – just pure gameplay and a high score on the main menu screen.

Classic Score
Conclusions
We can't help to think of Columns as Tetris' less known, less handsome brother. Truth is, it's an original puzzle action title that, despite its simplicity, has its own personality and fair share of qualities. Audiovisually it's a treat to play, and the core idea, although perhaps not the most exciting one, is clever and well executed.
